Reflection + Relocation
I have touched down and arrived back to the US.
During nearly five years of living abroad in Portugal I was able to travel the country extensively camping in a rooftop tent, I visited many countries and even traveled alone on a cross-country American road trip. I worked to develop my artwork and jewelry designs, and made friends that I will have for my lifetime. My life has changed. These years have been dream-like, and now I am back in the US for one year, no plan for after, just to be present.
After spending a couple weeks with my family in northern Florida, I will head north to my new home where I will spend a year digging even deeper into my creative life and developing my business. I will begin a year long artist residency in a small coastal town in Long Island, New York.
It’s a mystery where this year will take me, but the possibilities feel pretty great. I have learned that by moving forward and continuing to work in ways that feel inspiring and true to myself, things inevitably evolve.
But for now, I can pause and reflect on all that I have gained from this experience, and allow it to help navigate my choices from here on out.
